OUR STORY
For over two decades, Arts Mildura shaped the cultural life of Mildura, delivering landmark festivals and building a strong foundation for creativity in our region.
In 2026, we step forward as Mallee Arts coLab, a bold evolution that signals expanded reach, deeper inclusion and greater impact.
This next chapter invests in local artists, strengthens partnerships and widens participation across the Mallee. Together, we are building a more connected and confident creative community, ensuring the arts remain central to Mallee communities, now and into the future.
More than a name change, it represents a shift toward year-round, community-led creative practice grounded in equity, justice and collaboration.

OUR MISSION
Powering a thriving Mallee creative ecosystem grounded in equity & justice, delivering lasting cultural, social & economic benefit for all.
OUR PILLARS
1. CREATIVE PARTNERSHIPS
We collaborate with individuals and organisations through meaningful engagement and consultation, building local capacity and strengthening the Mallee’s creative sector.
3. Caring for country
4. Community Voice
We foster inclusive, democratic spaces where every person is empowered to participate, create, and thrive with dignity and agency.
2.FIRST PEOPLES FIRST
Grounded in respect for Traditional Owners, we uphold First Nations leadership, voices, and self-determination in everything we do.
5. Intregity & Accountability
We build trust through transparency, ethical governance, and strong financial management, ensuring our programs deliver lasting value for the Mallee.
These pillars are the engine of our work, ensuring every workshop, project, & event translates our vision into tangible, lasting impact for the Mallee.
Our Impact Streams
01. PUBLIC PROGRAMS
From immersive workshops to flagship events, we create direct opportunities for our community to participate in the arts.
02. COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
We work in community, alongside local partners to deliver bespoke projects that respond to the needs of unique groups in our community.
These commissions translate creative expertise into tangible results, building local capacity and contributing to a resilient regional economy that values homegrown talent.
03. The lab
Located at 106-108 Pine Ave, 'The Lab' is our dedicated creative hub.
We facilitate user groups, manage studio residencies, and grow activations that give artists and community groups the space to experiment, create, connect and present.
04. ADVOCACY
We are tireless advocates for the arts, promoting creativity as essential to our collective wellbeing and regional vitality.
By championing the role of the arts in healthcare, education, and local government, we ensure that creative thinking is recognised as a primary driver of a healthy, resilient Mallee.
05. CAPACITY BUILDING + PROMOTION
By providing professional development, connecting artists with high-level opportunities, and actively promoting local work to wider audiences, we build the capacity of our creative sector to be a self-sustaining economic engine.

Our programming streams bring creativity to life across the Mallee, supporting artists, engaging communities and creating opportunities to connect, learn and create.
