INTRODUCING THE LAB

The Lab is a multi-purpose creative base where the organisation’s diverse activities can come to life. Once a busy bike store, the site now provides approximately 850 sqm of ground-level space (total land size 950 sqm), ideally suited to Mallee Arts coLab ambitions. It includes two shopfronts with lane and rear access, an undercover car park, adjoining municipal parking, and ample street parking.

Centrally located, the Lab positions Mallee Arts coLab at the heart of community activity, offering visibility and accessibility for artists, audiences, and partners alike.The new premises are currently undergoing a staged refurbishment, with staff already operating onsite as infrastructure is stripped back and prepared for redevelopment.

The Lab will provide:

A Recording Studio – enabling sound-based projects, music, podcasts, and cross-disciplinary collaborations.

Performance and Event Spaces – flexible areas for open performance, talks, and workshops.

Creative Studios – dedicated wet and clean media spaces for visual arts, experimentation, and making.

Hot desking and Work Areas – open, collaborative environments for artists, cultural workers, and the Mallee Arts coLab staff.

Facilities – kitchenette and amenities to support day-to-day activity and events.
